Donation Guidelines

The Book Bank is pleased to accept (almost) any books for children ages 0 to 18 that are in gently used or new condition.

How to determine if a book is “gently used”:

If you would give the book as a gift to a child that you know, then we’re happy to give it to a child that we know! Please no yellowed, ripped, or water-damaged pages. Generally, books that were printed in this millennium are acceptable.

Books we need the most:

Books with diverse characters and stories, reflecting our community
Baby books (board books) (eg: Eric Carle, Sandra Boynton, flap-books)
Preschooler books (ABCs, counting, simple stories)
Non-fiction: dinosaurs, animals, nature, space, Egypt, Cars, soccer, basketball
Popular Titles: Harry Potter, Dog Man, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Captain Underpants
Graphic novels and manga for all ages

Please do not bring:

Textbooks
Encyclopedias
Workbooks
Damaged Books
Library Books
Self-published Books
